Where the mountains meet the Piedmont, this chapter works the foothills' woodlands and river bluffs.

The foothills blend mountain and Piedmont flora along rivers, ridges, and the Brushy Mountains. Members host plant rescues ahead of development and bring natives into local parks and schoolyards.
