Oconee Bell Chapter

Named for the rare Oconee bells of our gorges, this chapter explores the lush, high-rainfall southern Blue Ridge.

The southern mountains hold some of the richest plant diversity in the East, from spray-cliff communities to high-elevation bogs. Our outings chase spring ephemerals, summer wildflowers, and the namesake Shortia of the Jocassee Gorges.
