Sandhills Chapter

This chapter is devoted to the fire-loving longleaf pine and wiregrass country of the Sandhills.

The Sandhills hold one of the richest ecosystems in North America: the longleaf pine savanna, kept open by fire and carpeted with wildflowers and carnivorous plants. Our chapter supports prescribed burning, seed collection, and savanna restoration.
